SAN DIEGO, CA – October 25, 2023 – Today, Nextivity – the industry leader in intelligent cellular coverage solutions – announced the expansion of its IoT offerings with the release of the Nextivity Smart Server Antenna. Part of the Nextivity Connectivity Core – a low-cost, quick-deploy Industry 4.0 infrastructure that includes sensors, edge computing and orchestration layers, and HARMONY Private Networking as a Service (NaaS) – the Smart Server Antenna delivers industry-first data and location capabilities at the component level for in-building wireless systems. The antenna features Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and Zigbee technology, which enables enterprises to utilize their in-building wireless infrastructure to support IoT applications.
Continuing the Nextivity mission to make IoT technology more affordable and accessible for enterprises, the Smart Server Antenna allows companies to ramp up and realize the benefits of IoT device deployments with minimal disruption to operations. The Nextivity IoT solution works alongside and integrates with existing wireless infrastructure components – including Wi-Fi – to complete the Connectivity Core.
The Smart Server Antenna pairs perfectly with the CEL-FI QUATRA 4000c for CBRS private LTE and IoT applications. Its flexible functionality also provides value when used with other CEL-FI Cellular Coverage and Nextivity SHIELD Public Safety solutions. In cellular deployments, the Smart Server Antenna enables in-building location tracking, navigation, and wireless sensor communication. For emergency response applications, the antenna’s active monitoring capabilities provide situational awareness data and damaged system component detection that helps first responders strategically approach an incident.
