CEL-FI QUATRA 4000 Fiber HUB Wins 2021 Best Electronics Systems (BEST) Award

Fiber connectivity add-on from Nextivity takes top spot in Cell Signal Boosters category for expanding cellular coverage into remote locations and significantly larger buildings

Nextivity today announced that its CEL-FI QUATRA 4000 Fiber HUB won a 2021 Best Electronic Systems (BEST) Award from Commercial Integrator. The 2021 BEST Awards inform integrators about the products that stand out from the rest. Taking the top honors in the Cell Signal Boosters category, the Fiber HUB adds fiber connectivity to the CEL-FI QUATRA 4000 system and expands cellular coverage into remote locations and significantly larger facilities.

The 2021 BEST Awards are a collection of outstanding products and services that impact the commercial integration industry, and aim to give each winner its due respect for helping to advance the industry. The 2021 selections were judged by an unbiased panel. Judging was done individually, with each judge giving a score for three separate categories for each product. Scoring categories included product design and technological innovation, functional features of the product, and the benefit that each product provides to commercial integrators. Scores were tallied to determine the winners in each product category.

“CEL-FI QUATRA Fiber HUB expands the possibilities for commercial integrators by adding fiber connectivity to the CEL-FI QUATRA 4000 system and enabling partners to bring stable and reliable coverage into extremely large buildings, like skyscrapers, as well as remote locations,” says Michiel Lotter, CEO of Nextivity. “It is very rewarding to see our Fiber HUB acknowledged for its role in advancing the industry, and for providing tangible benefits to integrators and their customers.”

CEL-FI QUATRA 4000 is a multi-carrier, hybrid active Distributed Antenna System (DAS) that provides uniform in-building cellular coverage to large commercial buildings. The CEL-FI QUATRA Fiber HUB expands cellular coverage in QUATRA 4000 deployments by distributing the donor signal via optical fiber from one building or location to another as far as 1.25 miles away. With the Fiber HUB, QUATRA 4000 can be deployed in significantly larger facilities at a fraction of the cost of a traditional DAS. It can be deployed in high rise buildings; in multi-unit campus settings where one building is on the fringe of macro cellular signal coverage and other buildings in the compound receive no outdoor signal at all; and in remote locations where there is no cellular signal, such as a coal mine.
