In-Building Design and Code Compliance

Public Safety Systems that are Smarter By Design

Different, In a Good Way

Nextivity R&D teams have taken everything we know about boosting and distributing cellular signals inside buildings and applied that knowledge and expertise to making the most advanced, easiest to deploy ERCES / LMR coverage systems in the world. Because we design our own chips in-house, and have been for four generations, we are able to offer a “No-Noise” guarantee. Our systems clean up signals, cancel oscillation, eliminate the Near-Far effects and just simply work better. Our systems will shut down before they will damage a radio tower. When 200 cellular network operators across the globe trust our products, and we are allowed to boost signals in places no one else can, we know we are doing something right.

When you look under the hood of our products you’ll likely be surprised – there are no physical filters – just the best chip on the planet specifically designed to boost radio signals within a building.

Cellular Expertise = Superior LMR Systems
Five-Nine Reliability is the Norm in Cellular (99.999% Uptime)

  • Since the mid-1990s, Nextivity engineers have been honing signal processing hardware and software to reduce noise and interference, while keeping the network safe.
  • We hold numerous patents in this area and design our own chips.
  • We call our collection of knowledge, software, hardware, and trade secrets “IntelliBoost” – and it’s in our SHIELD Public Safety DAS / BDA products!
  • We have fixed and mobile devices installed on ~200 operator networks in >100 countries and improve our signal enhancing capabilities everyday.

Demonstrating Compliance

Uplink Grid Test with Talk-Out Guarantee: An Industry First from Nextivity

Nextivity SHIELD Public Safety solutions are code-compliant in the U.S. and Canada to UL2542, NFPA1221/1225, IFC510, FCC Part 90, and ISED. Nextivity has developed a way a pretest uplink performance using an off-the shelf FRS radio, ensuring systems pass certification the first time, streamlining the deployment and inspection process. This is made possible by Nextivity WAVE software and other technology built into our systems. This UL grid is important because in PUblic Safety applications, the Dowlink Gain is often different than the Uplink Gain. Being able to test the level means settings can be optimized, not just turned up as high as possible to try and pass the test.

Most people know Nextivity for our popular CEL-FI cellular boosters, but since 2016 we’ve been deploying advanced Public Safety systems as well. Just like our cellular systems, our Public Safety solutions offer industry leading performance and are designed for ease of install and operation. From planning to deployment to optimization and management, Nextivity WAVE tools offer unparalleled system metrics to support installers and those in change of ensure system maintenance and compliance.
