Nextivity today announced that it has expanded its Cel-Fi product line-up at the IWCE In-Building Forum. The Cel-Fi QUATRA 1000 FN, the only carrier-grade enterprise In-Building Wireless (IBW) solution for FirstNet on the market. Built on Nextivity’s award-winning technology, the Cel-Fi QUATRA 1000 FN is a scalable, active Distributed Antenna System (DAS) hybrid solution that provides the most reliable FirstNet and AT&T service inside buildings that house emergency response and public safety personnel.
In 2018, Nextivity launched the world’s first Smart Signal Booster for FirstNet users with Cel-Fi GO RED, used in emergency response stations and as a portable emergency response solution. Earlier in 2020, Nextivity expanded its offering with the Cel-Fi QUATRA RED ERRCS solution for public buildings — the first all-in-one solution to meet fire-code requirements and distribute carrier-grade FirstNet cellular coverage. The Cel-Fi QUATRA 1000 FN is the newest addition to Nextivity’s public safety product portfolio, providing FirstNet cellular coverage in enterprise buildings that house the 1.6 million current FirstNet subscribers.
Designed for FirstNet emergency response communications, Cel-Fi QUATRA 1000 FN amplifies and distributes FirstNet and AT&T cellular signals, giving FirstNet users with the Black SIM priority access to the network. This ensures emergency responder communications do not have to compete for available bandwidth during a crisis. FirstNet is for first responders and those that support their vital efforts. This includes law enforcement, fire protection services, emergency (911) call dispatching and government Public Safety Answering Points, emergency planning and management offices, and emergency medical services.
FirstNet provides first responders and other public safety personnel with a dedicated network that ensures there is available bandwidth for communications in a time of an emergency. However, even when FirstNet infrastructure is deployed, emergency personnel can experience issues getting a reliable FirstNet signal – such as dead zones and dropped calls – inside their buildings. Cel-Fi QUATRA 1000 FN distributes the FirstNet signal throughout a facility via the award-winning, scalable, all-digital Power over Ethernet (PoE) architecture.
