CEL-FI GO RED FirstNet Booster Wins Commercial Integrator BEST Award

Newest product recognized with its first-ever award in the category of Building Enhancements: Cell Signal Booster Solutions

June 12, 2019 Nextivity Inc. today announced that its CEL-FI GO RED FirstNet Booster has won a Commercial Integrator BEST award, taking the top prize in its category. The annual awards recognize products and services that have a positive impact on commercial integrators’ businesses. Recipients are selected by a panel of industry experts, integrators, and editors of Commercial Integrator.

Launched in September 2018, CEL-FI GO RED amplifies FirstNet service inside buildings, ensuring that first responders can communicate using their cellular devices in emergency situations. It is a vital new solution for the FirstNet ecosystem. For integrators, CEL-FI GO RED is cost-effective and straightforward to install, and can be deployed quickly. In addition, CEL-FI GO RED can be monitored remotely with the CEL-FI WAVE platform.

CEL-FI GO RED can be set up in just minutes to concurrently amplify FirstNet signals in bands 12 and 14 inside any building. It provides 100db coverage for up to 15,000 sq. ft. per system, ensuring a strong and reliable cellular connection on FirstNet-compatible devices inside buildings for emergency communication by police, fire, and medical personnel.

According to the First Responder Network Authority, when public safety personnel out in the field have a strong wireless connection that is guaranteed through network priority and pre-emption, the crucial work of emergency managers becomes faster and more efficient. But cellular coverage holes and poor signal areas still exist inside many buildings, caused by cellular signals being inhibited or blocked by external obstacles – such as hills, trees, and other tall buildings – or by building materials, and even by bad weather.

“The ability to communicate in an emergency can mean the difference between life and death,” said Werner Sievers, CEO of Nextivity. “CEL-FI GO RED addresses the coverage gaps, making it easier and safer for first responders to do their jobs properly, minimizing risks to themselves and those they are tasked with helping.”
