Just about anyone planning their holiday season shopping will likely have some sort of technology on their gift list. At least that’s what new research from the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) – the 22nd Annual CE Holiday Purchase Patterns Study – has to say. In fact, 65% of all Americans are planning to buy tech gifts, which represents an increase of 2% over last year.
Another interesting factoid is that one in three shoppers plan to purchase emerging tech products such as smart home devices, wearables, action cameras, and drones.
So what’s topping the tech wish list this season? TVs lead the pack. Next up is tablets and smartphones, followed by notebooks/laptops and videogame consoles.
And let us not forget those accessories we all love: headphones, earbuds, Bluetooth speakers, digital toys and games are all expected to show big sales numbers in the coming weeks.
At least there’s no shortage of options when you’re out shopping for your friends and loved ones – including perhaps a CEL-FI smart signal booster? After all, most of those big gifts will need rock solid indoor coverage to perform at their best.
