They always say pictures tell the best stories. Here’s an enlightening infographic from OpenSignal that offers up a colorful – and useful – perspective on the state of LTE today.

Not surprisingly, LTE coverage has a lot to do with where you live. In some countries it’s there for the asking. In others, it’s in its infancy. According to OpenSignal though, the LTE picture could change dramatically in the not too distant future as operators upgrade their existing networks and deploy new ones to bump up data rates.

Some unlikely players are leap frogging other countries, despite the fact they were late in the game. At the same time, it appears that early adopters are falling behind their global peers.

Based on network speeds and availability, the best performing LTE networks are in Asia, with South Korea topping the list and Singapore sitting a close second. While U.S. coverage is strong, speeds are below average. Not surprisingly, developing regions are among the poorest performers.

In many of the world’s markets where LTE is available, CEL-FI is at the ready to address any indoor coverage issues that subscribers may experience. In fact it’s the only LTE-enabled Smart Signal Booster® on the market, and is approved by 169 operators in 89 countries. So whatever the state of the LTE nation may be, we have you covered.
