We have some great news on the European front. T-Mobile Austria is now deploying CEL-FI PRO to its subscribers. It’s all part of the provider’s ambitious national LTE rollout for improving indoor cellular coverage. In fact the plan is to complete the rollout to 90% of the country’s population by the end of 2015 according to the folks at T-Mobile Austria – who also said “The CEL-FI PRO smart signal booster for LTE is exactly what we need to address the majority of indoor coverage issues experienced by our customers.”
It’s a sizeable initiative given that T-Mobile Austria has 4 million customers and is the second biggest mobile operator in Austria. In fact in 2014 the company invested over €100 million in the network with a specific focus on the roll out of the next generation LTE mobile network.
By the way, T-Mobile Austria is no stranger to CEL-FI technology. It has been using our previous generation CEL-FI smart signal boosters for some time as part of an agreement we have had in place for years with Deutsche Telekom AG.
